Inter Milan Beat Juventus To Win Coppa Italia

Inter Milan came from behind against Juventus to clinch a first Coppa Italia since 2011 at the Stadio Olimpico.

Hakan Calhanoglu's 80th-minute penalty forced extra time and Ivan Perisic scored twice in three minutes as Inter lifted the cup for the eighth time.

Nicolo Barella's superb strike had put Inter ahead after six minutes.

But holders Juventus scored twice in quick succession through Alex Sandro and Dusan Vlahovic to turn the game around early in the second half.

Defeat ended record 14-time winners Juventus' hopes of a trophy this season - the first time that has happened since 2010-11.

Serie A title chasers Inter, who are second and two points behind city rivals AC Milan with two games to go, had not reached the final of the competition since their previous triumph 11 years ago.

Inter will now face Cagliari and Sampdoria in their final two league games as they pursue a domestic double.

Inter Defeat Rivals AC Milan To Reach Coppa Italia Final

Inter Milan have gotten to the final of the Coppa Italia for the first time in 11 years after defeating city rivals AC Milan as Lautaro Martinez scored a first-half double on his return to the side.

After the first leg of the semi-final ended goalless, Martinez opened the scoring after four minutes when he turned in Matteo Darmian's cross at the near post.

Milan were twice denied by goalkeeper Samir Handanovic before Argentina striker Martinez slotted in a second. The Argentina international has now been involved in each of the last three goals scored during the first five minutes of play in the Milan derbies, recording two goals and one assist.

Substitute Robin Gosens sealed the win as the Nerazzurri have set up a Coppa Italia final clash with either Juventus or Fiorentina.

Liverpool Through To FA Cup Semis After Win At Nottingham Forest

Liverpool have clinched a date with Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-finals at Wembley after narrowly edging past a resilient Nottingham Forest in a enthralling encounter at the City Ground.

Diogo Jota scored the decisive goal of the game for the visitors late on, prodding in Konstantinos Tsimikas' cross from the left with 12 minutes left on the clock.

Jurgen Klopp's quadruple-chasing side dominated possession with nothing to show for and were made to work for their victory by their relentless Championship opponents.

Steve Cooper's side saw a late penalty appeal turned down by VAR when midfielder Ryan Yates fell after a challenge with Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson.

The hosts were made to pay for the missed chances as Philip Zinckernagel's miss was decisive to the outcome, the Danish winger side-footing wide from six yards from Brennan Johnson's inviting cross just a couple of minutes before Jota's goal.

"I think the game was decided on a defining two minutes - we had a good chance that we didn't take and they created one and did," said Cooper.

While Forest had already gotten past  EPL sides Arsenal and Leicester in this season's competition, they found themselves trying to beat insurmountable odds as the difference in class against Liverpool was apparent despite Klopp making seven changes to his starting XI.

And while they were startled by the electric atmosphere in what was the first meeting between the clubs in the FA Cup since the rescheduled 1989 semi-final that followed the Hillsborough disaster, they spent long periods of the game under severe pressure.

Yates also had a chance to head a late equaliser, but Liverpool, who also carved open several excellent opportunities of their own, deservedly advanced to the last four.

The Reds will now meet Manchester City after Guardiola's men claimed a 4-1 win over fellow EPL side Southampton. The Semifinal tie between these two powerhouses will take place at Wembley stadium on April 16.

Sanchez Snatches Late Equaliser As Inter Lose Ground In Title Race

Alexis Sanchez snatched an injury-time equaliser for champions Inter Milan but they lost ground in the Serie A title race with a draw at Torino.

Simone Inzaghi's side fell behind to an early Gleison Bremer finish and Torino - winless in six league games - had keeper Etrit Berisha in inspired form.

The Albanian denied Lautaro Martinez, Hakan Calhanoglu and Federico Dimarco.

Edin Dzeko headed over late on but still had time to tee up Sanchez on 93 minutes, who fired in off a post.

Th result means Inter have just one win in their last five league games and their form has seen them drop to third in the table after Napoli moved second with a 2-1 win at Verona earlier on Sunday.

Victor Osimhen struck twice to give Napoli back-to-back away wins but AC Milan may consider themselves the major winners in the title race over the weekend after their 1-0 win over Empoli on Saturday.

Stefano Pioli's side hold a three-point lead over Napoli and a four-point advantage on Inter, who have a game in hand.
