Nigerian goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has made history as the first African and Nigerian player to clinch the title of best goalkeeper in the French D1 Arkema (women’s league). Her exceptional performance throughout the season, highlighted by her impressive saves, solidified her reputation as one of the top goalkeepers globally.

Pierre Ferracci, president of Nnadozie's club, Paris FC, expressed his delight, emphasizing her exceptional performance not only in penalty situations but throughout the Champions League campaign.

Nnadozie's skill in saving penalties stood out, with her tally of seven penalty saves being the highest in Europe for the season. Currently, Paris FC holds the third position in the league standings with 42 points, trailing behind Paris Saint-Germain and Lyon.

In a grateful message shared on social media platform X, Nnadozie expressed her excitement and thanked everyone who supported her, including her coaches, teammates, family, and fans. She also received recognition as the CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year in 2023.
