Karim Benzema Is on the Verge of Leaving Real Madrid for Saudi Club Al Ittihad

Karim Benzema’s future may lie with the Saudi club Al Ittihad. According to club insiders, the agreement with the French striker is nearing completion. It is now up to Benzema and Real Madrid to finalize the transfer.

Al Ittihad are the current Saudi league winners and are coached by Nuno Espirito Santo, who previously played for Deportivo, Osasuna, and Merida and also coached Valencia.

The Saudi authorities has been working for months to sign Benzema, and everything looks to imply that they have finally convinced him. Benzema has even chatted with Cristiano Ronaldo about the league and life in Spain. In theory, Benzema would sign a two-year contract for more than €100 million tax-free per season.

This afternoon, the Real Madrid No. 9 met with his agent in Madrid. His 14-year career as a Real Madrid player will come to an end as soon as his exit is finalized. He has appeared in 647 games for the club, scoring 353 goals and assisting on 165 others.

Cristiano Ronaldo Earns Man Utd Draw With Chelsea

Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 17th goal of the season to earn Manchester United a point after David de Gea had frustrated Chelsea with several superb saves.

The visitors were thoroughly dominant in the first half at Old Trafford but were unable to find a way past De Gea, who made saves from Kai Havertz and N'Golo Kante.

But Chelsea finally broke the deadlock midway through the second half when Marcos Alonso volleyed home from an angle.

The Blues' celebrations had barely finished as Manchester United responded within a minute, Nemanja Matic playing a brilliant ball into the box and Ronaldo taking a touch before thumping a shot into the net.

That brought Old Trafford to life - there had been a subdued atmosphere inside the ground up to that point, while discontent against the club's owners was still clear as protests were held outside for the second home game in succession.

Reece James hit the outside of the post while Ronaldo could have secured all three points for the hosts but his effort from a difficult angle was saved by Edouard Mendy.

But the game ended all square as Chelsea edged closer to securing a top-four finish. Thomas Tuchel's side are third, eight points ahead of fifth-placed Tottenham with five games remaining.

Manchester United are sixth, five points behind Arsenal in fourth but having played two games more.

Ronaldo Ends Goal Drought as Manchester United Record Home Win Over Brighton

Cristiano Ronaldo ended his longest goal drought in recent times as Manchester United beat 10-man Brighton at Old Trafford to move back into the Premier League’s top-four.

The Portuguese gathered Scott McTominay’s ball before sneaking right of the Brighton defence and curling a low shot past a stationary Robert Sanchez with barely any backlift.

After a tepid opening period, Ronaldo struck six minutes into the second half, with Brighton going a man down three minutes later as defender Lewis Dunk got sent off after VAR sent referee Peter Bankes to review the defender’s foul on Anthony Elanga.

After Fernandes missed a golden opportunity to beat Sanchez with only the Brighton goalkeeper to beat, Ronaldo headed a great chance wide of the far post.

United breathed a sigh of relief when Jakub Moder’s speculative effort from the corner of the box rebounded back off the bar with David de Gea beaten.

Brighton were still fighting for a point when Fernandes scored with nearly the last kick of the game.

The Portuguese playmaker added a second as United broke from deep inside their own half in the final minute of injury-time.

The win lifts Ralf Rangnick’s side two points above West Ham and into the Champions League qualification places. Brighton remain ninth.

Ronaldo Makes History As Portugal Trash Luxembourg

Cristiano Ronaldo made history on the night by scoring a hat-trick as Portugal recorded an emphatic World Cup qualifying win over Luxembourg at the Estadio Algarve.

The victory leaves Portugal second in Group A, a point behind Serbia who they host in their final game.

Ronaldo knocked in two penalties and rounded off the scoring with a header as he recorded his 58th hat-trick for club and country.

Bruno Fernandes and Joao Palhinha both got their names on the scoresheet in the high scoring encounter.

Fernandes superbly drove a low shot into the bottom-right corner as the hosts went 3-0 up inside 18 minutes.

However, all the headlines will rightly belong with his Manchester United team-mate who now has 115 international goals.

The 36-year-old broke Iran striker Ali Daei's record of 109 goals last month.

Portugal travel to the Republic of Ireland in their penultimate Group A match before facing Serbia.
