Bandits Based In Kaduna Kill 30 In Niger Invasion, Burn Villages

No fewer than 30 persons have been killed by bandits, who sneaked from their hideout in Kaduna State. into Kachiwe and adjourning villages in Sarkin Pawa headquarters of the Munya Local Government Area of Niger state.

The Secretary to the Government of Niger State, Alhaji Ahmed Matane, while confirming the attack, said he bandits went into about three communities; burnt one of the villages completely, adding that the state government was not resting on its laurels to rid the state of crime and criminality.

Similarly, the Commissioner of Police in Niger State, Mr Monday Kuryas, also confirmed the attack, promising that men of the Police command have been mandated to fish out the culprits of the highly irrepressible and. 

A source from one of the villages said more than 30 people were killed because they raided many communities in the area.

Kaduna Death Toll Reaches 51

The death toll from the killings perpetuated by suspected bandits in some communities in southern Kaduna has risen to 51 following the recovery of three more corpses.

Between Sunday and Monday, no fewer than 48 people were killed by bandits in Zango Kataf and Kaura local government areas of Kaduna State within 24 hours of unrestricted bloody violence.

Groups, comprising the Southern Kaduna Peoples Union, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the Middle Belt Forum and civil rights organisations, described the silence of the Northern Governor's Forum on the killings in Kaduna State as insensitive.

Police Arrest 3 Suspected Kidnappers of Bethel Baptist School Students in Kaduna

Three suspects paraded by the Special Tactical Squad of the FCT police command have confessed to being part of the twenty-five-man gang who kidnapped 126 students of the Bethel Baptist School in Kaduna state.

They were part of the fifty suspects also paraded for kidnapping as well as drug use and distribution of arms dealing amongst other crimes.

The three suspects who wore military camouflage, claimed to have been paid a hundred thousand Naira each for their role in the abduction and that the sole aim of the mission was to collect ransom.

The force public relations officer, Frank Mba said the suspects paraded are part of the success story recorded by the Special Tactical Squad of the police.

He said investigation is underway to bring more collaborators of various crimes to justice.

Death Of Senator Na’Allah’s Son Appears To Be Culpable Homicide-Kaduna Govt

The Kaduna state Commissioner of Police, Mr Mudasiru Abdullahi, has ordered a full scale investigation into the assassination of a Nigerian Pilot, Mr Abdulkarim Ibn Na-Allah.

Abdullahi gave the order in a statement issued by the command’s spokesman, Mohammed Jalige.

He said the investigation will unravel the identities of the culprits and bringing them to book.

Son of Adamawa Sen. Bala Ibn Na-Allah, the 36-year-old aircraft captain was allegedly murdered in his Kaduna residence on Aug. 29.
