Nigerian megastar Davido has shattered records across African and Nigerian music streaming platforms with his new album, 'Timeless.'

Released on March 31, 2023, the highly anticipated 17-track album came after a rare quiet moment from the award-winning artist, who has made a name for himself as Africa's most formidable hitmaker.

Just 24 hours after its release, 'Timeless' broke multiple records across music streaming platforms.

The album tallied 4.91 million streams on its first day of release, surpassing the previous record debut week total of 4.89 million held by Burna Boy's 'Love, Damini' on Spotify Nigeria.

The first track on the album, 'OVER DEM,' broke the all-time record for most single day streams for any song in Spotify Nigeria history, with over 2x the previous record of 460,000 streams.

The album also broke the record for the biggest first day streams on Boomplay, with 7.25 million streams on opening day, surpassing the previously set record by Burna Boy's 'Love, Damini' with 3.38 million streams.

Furthermore, 'Timeless' topped the Apple Music Album chart in 26 countries, and even peaked at No. 2 on the United Kingdom Apple Music chart, setting a record for an African album.
