Real Madrid Beat Mallorca To Go 10 Points Clear

Real Madrid moved 10 points clear at the top of La Liga thanks to a comfortable away victory at Mallorca.

Following a goalless first half, Vinicius Jr scored 10 minutes after the restart, converting a pass from Karim Benzema to put Real ahead.

Benzema, who scored a hat-trick as Real beat Paris St-Germain 3-1 to seal a 3-2 aggregate win in the Champions League last 16, then scored twice himself.

He converted a penalty after Vinicius had been fouled and headed in a third.

When it was goalless, Mallorca came close to taking the lead but Pablo Maffeo's shot came back off the upright.

Real are 10 points clear of Sevilla with 10 La Liga games left for both sides, with arch-rivals Barcelona and Atletico Madrid in third and fourth respectively, both a further five points behind.

Benzema’s Hat-Trick Sends Real Madrid Into UCL Quarter-Finals

Karim Benzema scored a superb second-half hat-trick as Real Madrid produced a stirring fightback at a raucous Bernabeu to reach the Champions League quarter-finals at the expense of Paris St-Germain.

Kylian Mbappe's first-half goal had given PSG a deserved two-goal aggregate lead and looked to have put Mauricio Pochettino's side well on course for the last eight.

However, a mistake by PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma proved the catalyst for a dramatic recovery with Benzema turning home after the Italian dawdled in possession.

Luka Modric's driving run and intricate pass made Benzema's second as he levelled the tie against a clearly panicked PSG, and as the visitors attempted to regroup the 34-year-old drove a low effort into the bottom right corner seconds after the restart to settle the tie.

Karim Benzema On Target As Madrid Secure Draw Against Chelsea In Ucl Semi’s

Karim Benzema came to Real Madrid's rescue again, his acrobatic volley earning them a 1-1 draw against an impressive Chelsea side in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final.

Christian Pulisic grabbed Chelsea an away goal in a soaking wet contest at Valdebebas but Madrid will be satisfied too, after recovering from a chastening opening half an hour before Benzema's brilliance left the tie in the balance.

Eden Hazard was given 24 minutes off the bench against his former club but despite some twinkling touches, he was unable to add a late twist.

By the time the Belgian entered the contest, it was drifting, the early adrenaline lost, with both teams seemingly content to defer to the return leg at Stamford Bridge next Wednesday.

Benzema's goal was his 71st in the Champions League, making him the joint-fourth top scorer in the competition's history with Raul, behind only Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Robert Lewandowski.

Real Madrid Beat Valencia To Move To Second

Karim Benzema scored his 17th goal of the season as Real Madrid claimed a comfortable win over Valencia to return to second in La Liga.

The hosts dominated the first half and deservedly took an early lead when Benzema curled in a precise finish.

Toni Kroos then added a second before the break as he finished off a neat move.

Valencia did not manage a shot on goal until the second half with Maxi Gomez testing Thibaut Courtois from distance.

The win means Real Madrid are five points behind leaders Atletico Madrid, who have two games in hand.
