Wilshere Scores In First Start For Bournemouth

Jack Wilshere says he "forgot how to celebrate" after scoring in Bournemouth's FA Cup fourth-round victory over Crawley.

Wilshere, starting for the first time in his second spell at the club, curled in the opener from 20 yards after collecting Joshua King's backheel.

But the midfielder's celebration was muted despite it being his first goal since 27 August 2019.

"I was a bit shocked. I probably should have had a couple more," Wilshere said.

"Last time I was here, I didn't score and it didn't sit well with me. I forgot how to celebrate."

League Two Crawley, who caused a shock by beating Leeds in the third round, were briefly level via Tom Nichols' close-range finish but King's placed effort was enough to see the hosts through.

The Cherries now travel to Burnley in the fifth round on Wednesday, 10 February.

I Am Not Tired Insists Man Utd’s Fernandes

Manchester United's FA Cup fourth-round match-winner Bruno Fernandes has dismissed the notion he needs a rest.

It is less than 12 months since Fernandes joined United from Sporting Lisbon and his £47m transfer has turned the side's form on its head.

From being a team that was struggling just to qualify for the Champions League, United are now top of the Premier League.

"Tired? At 26 years of age, I can't be tired," said Fernandes.

"If I am tired now, when I get to 30 or 32, I won't be able to play or I will play one game out of every five. No, I am not tired."

United beat Liverpool in the FA Cup thanks to Fernandes' late free-kick on Sunday.

Last week, United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said the notion Fernandes needed a rest was wrong - and he is supported in that assessment by the player himself.

Fernandes' winner earned United a fifth-round tie with West Ham.

Tottenham See Off Wycombe Late In FA Cup Tie

Tottenham produced late goals from Harry Winks and Tanguy Ndombele to ensure the London outfit overcame a scare against a spirited Wycombe side to reach the FA Cup fifth round.

Wycombe, bottom of the Championship, had stunned their Premier League opponents when Fred Onyedinma slotted in the opener midway through the first half.

But Gareth Bale marked a rare start with the equalizer just before half-time, hooking in Lucas Moura's cross.

Tottenham upped the pressure in the second half, but Wycombe repelled numerous attacks as they looked set to take the game to extra time.

However, with Mourinho having sent on key players Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Ndombele, the away side's quality eventually told as Winks curled home to give Spurs the lead with four minutes to go.

Ndombele ensured there would be no late drama when he finished from close range and then stabbed home a fourth in injury time to set Tottenham up with a fifth-round tie at Everton.

Spurs have already reached the final of the Carabao Cup and are also in the knockout stage of the Europa League.

They also host Liverpool in the Premier League on Thursday and Mourinho said not choosing to rest Kane, Son and Ndombele for that fixture highlighted his determination to win in every competition they play in.

Abraham Hat-Trick Fires Chelsea Past Luton

A Tammy Abraham hat-trick earned Chelsea victory over Luton Town in the FA Cup fourth round to relieve some pressure on manager Frank Lampard.

Abraham slotted in from Timo Werner's cut-back before nodding in a second from Reece James' chip.

Jordan Clark scored for the visitors - after an error by keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga- on 30 minutes to keep them in the game.

But Abraham poked home to seal victory before Timo Werner missed a penalty.

Chelsea will face Championship side Barnsley in the fifth round.
