February 25, 2021 Fred Nzeako Asks New EFCC Chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa Not To Be Selective In Handling Corruption Cases

The newly confirmed EFCC Chairman, ABDULRASHEED BAWA has been urged not to be selective in handling corruption cases by the agency.

He was also advised to live above board and avoid playing to the gallery of the powers that be.

Constitutional lawyer, FRED NZEAKO and the Executive Director of the Development Specs Agency, OKEY IKECHUKWU gave this advise on a monitored program in reaction to the senate confirmation of BAWA.

According to FRED NZEAKO, one of the first tasks before BAWA is to put an end to inter-agency rivalry with the ICPC.

On his part, OKEY IKECHUKWU said the EFCC boss should do away with unnecessary media trial during his reign.

ABDULRASHEED BAWA was grilled by the Senators before his confirmation.

Responding to some of the questions, BAWA, denied selling recovered assets while serving as Port Harcourt Zonal Officer of the EFCC.

He also denied that he was arrested by former acting EFCC Chairman, IBRAHIM MAGU for undisclosed reasons.
