March 16, 2021 FIFA President, Infantino Expresses Commitment To Council Member, Amaju Pinnick

FIFA President, Gianni Infantino, has congratulated the President of the Nigerian Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick, on becoming a Council Member in the world football governing body.

In a letter he signed, Infantino expressed the renewed belief that Pinnick's experience, knowledge, and passion will help him in future endeavors in the world football community.

The FIFA President said he looks forward to working with Pinnick at the next Council meeting which will hold on Friday.

Infantino said, "Sending you my best wishes of luck, courage, and success for all the challenges that lie ahead, I look forward, dear Pinnick, to working with you already at the next meeting of the FIFA Council, which will be held by videoconference this Friday, 19 March."

Amaju Pinnick was elected into the FIFA Council after four of his five rivals, Lamin Kaba Bajo (The Gambia), Wallace Karia (Tanzania), Nick Mwendwa (Kenya), and Andrew Kamanga (Zambia) withdrew from the election and opted to back him.
