March 19, 2024 Defence Headquarters Publishes Roster of Military Personnel Deceased in Delta State

The Defense Headquarters has unveiled the roster of 17 military personnel who lost their lives in an assault in Delta State. The tragic incident occurred last week in Okuama, a community situated in the Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State, following a peacekeeping mission.

Following the heinous attack, the Defence Headquarters confirmed that among the deceased were 17 personnel, including the Commanding Officer of the 181 Amphibious Battalion, two majors, one captain, and 12 other members of the battalion.

In a poignant tribute, the Nigerian Army shared a heartfelt message on its official platform, accompanied by a photo montage of the fallen personnel, extending prayers for the repose of their souls.

The Defence Headquarters has officially disclosed the identities of those who perished in the attack:
