President Bola Tinubu has granted the military full authority to ensure those responsible for the tragic killing of 12 soldiers and four senior Army officers in Delta State face justice. In a resolute statement, President Tinubu underscored his administration's unwavering commitment to achieving peace and stability across Nigeria.

The Nigerian military officially confirmed the loss of the commanding officer, two majors, one captain, and a dozen soldiers during a rescue operation in Okuama Community, Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State. The troops had been deployed to address a crisis between Okuama and Okoloba communities in Delta State when they fell under ambush.

Expressing heartfelt condolences, President Tinubu extended his sympathies to the armed forces for the loss of their brave personnel. He emphasized the perilous conditions faced by Nigerian servicemen and women in the line of duty, highlighting the gravity of the situation.
