July 11, 2023 Tottenham Secure Signing of Winger Manor Solomon from Shakhtar Donetsk

Tottenham Hotspur has successfully completed the signing of winger Manor Solomon from Shakhtar Donetsk on a five-year contract.

The 23-year-old Israeli talent had an impressive loan spell at Fulham last season, scoring five goals in 24 appearances.

Solomon becomes Tottenham's fourth acquisition of the summer transfer window, joining the ranks of winger Dejan Kulusevski, goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, and England midfielder James Maddison.

After finishing eighth in the Premier League last season and missing out on European qualification, Tottenham's latest signing brings a fresh dimension to their attacking options.

The winger's journey to Fulham began when he exercised a FIFA rule allowing Ukraine-based players to suspend their contracts. This rule, introduced by the world governing body following the invasion by Russia, allowed players who are not Ukrainian nationals to explore loan moves elsewhere.

Solomon's impactful performances at Fulham caught the attention of manager Marco Silva, who expressed a keen interest in retaining the winger.

Solomon's international career has also shown promise, earning 35 caps for Israel and scoring seven goals since making his debut in 2018.

As the new season approaches, Tottenham fans eagerly anticipate Solomon's debut in the club's colors. His arrival adds depth and quality to the squad, offering a glimpse of the exciting possibilities that lie ahead.
