President Bola Tinubu says he will work to ensure Nigerians are taken out of poverty.

Tinubu stated this while receiving a 62-person delegation from Rivers State, led by Governor Siminalayi Fubara, and other stakeholders from the oil-rich state, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The meeting was also attended by the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, who is also the immediate past Governor of Rivers State.

At the meeting, Governor Fubara made a case for the rehabilitation of the East-West Road.

Speaking to Journalists at the end of the meeting which was held behind closed doors, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and former President of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Onueze Okocha, gave the reason for their visit.
