APC lagos asks opposition, PDP to accept defeat in the bye-elections in good fate

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has likened the humiliating defeat suffered by the Peoples Democratic Party in the bye-elections conducted over the weekend as a comic relief from the recent pressure and challenges.

The state chairman of the PDP, ADEDEJI DOHERTY had in a statement described the election as a charade, accusing INEC of allocating votes to the APC.

He however said that relevant lessons have been learnt assuring that Lagos will be rescued from APC and its leadership, that have held down the State for over twenty years.

But in his reaction, the spokesman of the ruling APC, SEYE OLADEJO said it was a big surprise that the state chairman of the PDP could complain about the results of the elections that he was too busy to campaign for his candidates.

While they were busy conducting fake personal opinion polls, the ruling APC was reaching out to the voters with life changing programs, manifestos and policies that are relevant to the challenges of the day.

INEC on Sunday morning declared the candidates of the APC in the Lagos East Senatorial District and Kosofe Constituency two bye-elections, TOKUNBO ABIRU and FEMI SAHEED winners of the exercise.

DJ Switch lambast minister of information Lai Mohammed, says he is misinformed

Nigerian disc jockey DJ Switch has slammed the minister of information Lai Mohammed.

The activist who has come under attack from the federal government, took a swipe at the minister via her Twitter page on Tuesday, November 24, 2020.

She tweeted:Hw can a “minister of information” be so “misinformed”?The only believable thing about him is his name…Lai Unfortunately sir, the truth is a very stubborn thing! Tnk u all 4 ur well wishes & prayers. It’s nt bn easy 4 me bt d need 2 #SoroSoke is more important than their bullying,”

DJ Switch’s tweet might be connected to the recent statement credited to Mohammed.

In a recent press briefing, the minister of information slammed DJ Switch over her now-famous live streaming of the shooting of unarmed #EndSars protesters at the Lekki toll gate in October.

He said: “One of the purveyors of fake news was one DJ Switch which real name is Obianuju Catherine Udeh, even though she claimed authentic evidence of mass killings. Surprisingly, instead of presenting whatever evidence she may have, she chose to escape from the country on the claim that her life was in danger. In danger for who?”

On Wednesday, November 18, during a chat with CNN’s Becky Anderson, DJ Switch accused the government of being a dictatorship with a democratic face.
