APC National Leader, Bola Tinubu, Says Only God Can Decide When His Life Will End

The National Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu says only God can decide when his life will end.

The former governor of Lagos returned to Nigeria on Friday, after spending months in London, where he underwent knee surgery.

Speaking when Governor Sanwo-Olu, hosted him at an event at the government house in Ikeja, Tinubu said he is “hale and hearty”.

Tinubu who was a little emotional at the event said God is the giver of life and the only one who can take life.

He also thanked the governor and members of the party for their prayers during his medical trip and honor on his return home

Osinbajo Is Off To London To Represent Buhari At UN Event

Osinbajo will speak at the Imperial College, London.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will leave Abuja today, October 7, for London.

The vice president will be representing President Buhari at a United Nations high level event on the energy transition in Africa agenda, with particular focus on Nigeria.

The event takes place tomorrow at the Imperial College.

It will feature meetings organised by UN Energy ahead of the UN Climate Conference COP26 which will be hosted by the United Kingdom in Glasgow, Scotland.

While in the UK, Osinbajo will also hold talks with the President Designate of COP26, Alok Sharma, a cabinet rank UK Minister and the Chair of the UK Government’s COP26 Energy Transition Council (ETC).

Issues bordering on the 2050 global Net-Zero emissions target and the need for the international community to align on the key elements of a just and equitable transition for all, will be discussed.

The vice president will also deliver an address at the Imperial College London, where he is billed to interact with the academic community on the global energy transition and Nigeria’s position on a just transition.

The Imperial College is at the forefront of research on generating a new understanding of the investment opportunity in renewable energy, clean technologies, and climate-resilient infrastructure.

The vice president will be accompanied on the trip by the Minister of State for Environment, Mrs. Sharon Ikeazor and the Special Adviser to the President on Economic Matters, Dr. Adeyemi Dipeolu, among others.

He is expected back in Nigeria on Sunday, October 10, 2021.

Update: President Buhari Arrives In London For Global Education Summit, Medical Check Up

President MUHAMMADU BUHARI has arrived in London, the United Kingdom to participate in the Global Education Summit on Financing Global Partnership for Education, 2021-2025.

After the summit, the president is expected to “spend a few days for an earlier scheduled medical check-up”.

This was contained in a statement issued by the president’s media adviser, FEMI ADESINA.

The summit will be co-hosted by UK Prime Minister, BORIS JOHNSON, and President UHURU KENYATTA of Kenya.

Buhari Travels To London For Medical Check-Up

Report has it that President Major General Muhammadu Buhari has travelled to London for his medical check up and he also plans on participating in the Global Education Summit on Financing Global Partnership for Education 2021-2025.

“The Summit, which will be co-hosted by the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson, and the President of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta, will bring together Heads of State and Government as well as stakeholders and youth leaders, and provide a platform for partners to chart a way forward towards transforming education systems in partner countries, through exchange of best practices.

This was confined in a statement by the president’s media adviser, Femi Adesina, titled, ‘President Buhari attends global education summit in London’, on Monday.

“The President will be accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, Minister of State Education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, National Security Adviser, Maj. Gen. Babagana Monguno (rtd) and Director General of National Intelligence Agency, Amb. Ahmed Rufai Abubakar", he said.

President Buhari will plans to hold a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

President Buhari will spend a few days for an earlier scheduled medical check-up immediately after the Summit.

He will be back in Nigeria in the second week of August, 2021.
