President Tinubu Vows Transformative Governance As Germany Seeks To Invest In Nigerian Gas

President Bola Tinubu has assured foreign investors that his administration is determined to change the narrative of Nigeria as a crawling nation by bringing transformative governance.

He spoke during bilateral political talks with the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Olaf Scholz, and his entourage at State House in Abuja.

The German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said his country is willing to invest in gas and critical minerals in Nigeria as he started a two-day visit to the West African country.

Scholz said on Sunday that the European country looked to diversify its trade partners and expand economic partnerships in the energy-rich region.

His visit to Africa is the third in two years. Conflicts in the Middle East and elsewhere highlight the growing importance of an energy-rich region as an alternative to Russian energy.

On his part, the president called for improved cooperation in security, natural resources, education, and democracy, among others, with the government of Germany.
