Emmanuel Dennis To Undergo Medical Ahead of Basaksehir Loan Move

Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Dennis is set to undergo medical tests ahead of his loan move to Istanbul Basaksehir from Nottingham Forest.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano stated this in a post on X (formerly Twitter) early Friday morning.

“Emmanuel Dennis will travel today to Istanbul in order to complete his move to Istanbul Basaksehir,” Romano wrote.

“Nottingham Forest approved loan deal with salary covered. NO buy option. Medical booked, here we go confirmed.”

Dennis has been heavily linked with a move away from Forest after he found himself surplus to requirements at The City Ground.

The transfer window in the UK shut almost two weeks ago, but it remains open in Turkey until tonight.

Basaksehir are now about to take advantage of that, with Dennis all set to make the move to Turkey in the coming hours.

The Super Eagles attacker joined Forest from Watford for £20million 13 months ago.

He played 25 times under Steve Cooper last season from which he scored two goals and provided three assists.

On Thursday, Romano revealed Basaksehir had reached a deal with the Premier League side and that the contract has no buy-out clause.

September 15, 2023 Farhad Moshiri Agrees To Sell Club To American Investment Fund

Farhad Moshiri Agrees To Sell Club To American Investment Fund

Premier League Everton are set to have new owners after Farhad Moshiri agreed to sell his 94% stake in the club to American investment fund 777 Partners.

The takeover would bring to an end the tumultuous tenure of British-Iranian Moshiri, who first invested in 2016.

The sale is expected to be completed by the end of 2023, subject to Premier League, Football Association and Financial Conduct Authority approval.

The takeover would mean half of the 20 top-flight clubs are American-owned.

Moshiri said in a statement: “The nature of ownership and financing of top football clubs has changed immeasurably since I first invested in Everton over seven years ago.

“The days of an owner/benefactor are seemingly out of reach for most, and the biggest clubs are now typically owned by well-resourced private equity firms, specialist sports investors or state-backed companies and funds.”

777 founder Josh Wander said: “We are truly humbled by the opportunity to become part of the Everton family as custodians of the club, and consider it a privilege to be able to build on its proud heritage and values.

“Our primary objective is to work with fans and stakeholders to develop the sporting and commercial infrastructure for the men’s and women’s teams that will deliver results for future generations of Everton supporters.”

EPL Spotlight: Awoniyi Nominated For Player Of The Month

Super Eagles forward Taiwo Awoniyi has garnered a well-deserved nomination for the August Premier League Player of the Month award. His exceptional performances for Nottingham Forest during the month have not gone unnoticed.

The 26-year-old striker exhibited prowess by netting three goals in as many league appearances for the Tricky Trees. He opened the scoring in the season's inaugural game against Arsenal, even though they ultimately fell 2-1.

Awoniyi continued to shine, securing a crucial goal in Nottingham Forest's 2-1 triumph against Sheffield United at home. His scoring spree didn't stop there, as he found the back of the net again in a valiant effort against Manchester United despite Forest's 3-2 loss.

In addition to Awoniyi, fellow football talents Jared Bowen, James Maddison, Rodri, Kaoru Mitoma, and Bryan Mbeumo have also earned nominations for this esteemed award. The competition for this month's Player of the Month promises to be fiercely contested.

August 18, 2023 Chelsea Signs Belgian Midfielder, Romeo Lavia for £58 million

Chelsea Signs Belgian Midfielder, Romeo Lavia for £58 million

Chelsea have completed the £58 million transfer of Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia.

The base fee is £53 million, plus £5 million in add-ons, with the 19-year-old signing a seven-year contract at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea’s first-choice midfield this season will most likely be Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez, and Lavia – a unit previously dubbed the ‘LFC midfield’ by Chelsea fans following Liverpool’s failed bids to buy both Lavia and Caicedo this summer.

Lavia said of his move to Chelsea, “I’m really happy to join Chelsea and be a part of this exciting project.” It’s an amazing football club with a fantastic history, and I’m very excited to get started.

“We are very pleased to welcome Romeo to Chelsea,” Chelsea co-sporting directors Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley said. He showed his quality in the Premier League last season at Southampton, demonstrating maturity despite his youth, and is a player we have been watching for some time.

Chelsea signed Lavia before Liverpool after the Reds struck a deal with Southampton.

The entire fee agreed upon by Liverpool and Southampton was £60 million, but the Belgian midfielder stated his preference for a move to Stamford Bridge.

Liverpool had lost Caicedo to Chelsea, who paid a British record £115 million for the Brighton midfielder. Liverpool had a £111 million bid accepted by Brighton, only for the 21-year-old to notify them that he was only interested in joining Chelsea.
