Pelumi Nubi, a 28-year-old travel content creator, recently encountered a harrowing experience during her solo road trip from London to Lagos. She shared the ordeal on her verified Instagram page, posting a video showing her wrecked vehicle with significant damage to the front and a shattered windshield, accompanied by a plea for prayers.

In her post, Nubi expressed her determination to defy the concept of "impossibility," emphasizing that with unwavering determination and resilience, obstacles can be overcome. Her ambitious journey was planned to take her through England, France, Spain, Morocco, the West Sahara Desert, Mauritania, Senegal, The Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Mali, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast), Ghana, Togo, Benin, and ultimately, Nigeria, where she aimed to reach Lagos.

Despite acknowledging that her journey was unprecedented for a black woman, Nubi clarified that her motivation was not driven by the pursuit of breaking records but rather by her passion for adventure and exploration. However, details regarding the location, cause, and extent of the accident, as well as Nubi's injuries, remain undisclosed at this time.

Nubi commenced her journey on January 31, 2024, encountering various challenges along the way. The incident serves as a reminder of the unpredictability inherent in such ventures.
