February 13, 2024 Singer Portable Firmly States: ‘If Any of My Wives Cheat on Me, It’s Over’

Renowned street-pop singer Portable has emphasized his firm stance that if any of his wives were to cheat on him, he would end the relationship to avoid an untimely demise.

The singer, known for his straightforwardness, made his position clear on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, via Instagram, asserting, "If any of my wives cheat and I find out, it's over because I don't want to die young. If your wife is unfaithful and you can't address it, it indicates a lack of responsibility as a man. But remember, they can use your woman to bring you down."

Portable's declaration sparked a flurry of responses on social media, with users quick to point out his multiple wives and baby mamas. Notably, his first wife was Omobewaji, and his most recent partner was Ashabi Simple, with whom he publicly quarrelled in January 2024.

The singer's statement was prompted by a clip from an interview featuring Seun and Yeide Kuti on TVC's Your View. During the interview, Yeide expressed her commitment to her marriage, stating that she wouldn't leave Seun even if he were unfaithful. She firmly stated, "My husband could do nothing to make me leave him. Even if he cheats, I won't leave him. I won't abandon my husband over infidelity; that's not an option."

Echoing his wife's sentiment, Seun emphasized their mutual stance on fidelity, declaring, "We don't believe in cheating. Love is not about possession." When questioned about his response if Yeide were to cheat, Seun reaffirmed, "No, I wouldn't leave her. That's irrelevant."

Portable's declaration, in contrast to the Kuti couple's perspective on infidelity, underscores the diversity of opinions and values within relationships and marriages.
