January 30, 2024 Seyi Law Stole My Intellectual Property – Actor Baba Tee

Renowned Yoruba comic actor Babatunde Bernard, popularly known as Baba Tee, has raised allegations of intellectual theft against his fellow comedian, Seyi Law, in a recent interview on the 'Honest Bunch podcast.'

During the interview, Baba Tee disclosed the strained nature of his relationship with Seyi Law, accusing him of appropriating his intellectual property for personal gain. He narrated the incident where Seyi Law allegedly took one of his jokes and presented it at a show hosted by AY Makun.

Expressing his disappointment, Baba Tee stated, “Seyi Law was my best friend; we were very close. However, one day, Omo Jesus called me to inform me that Seyi Law was using my joke at AY Makun’s concert. He used my material during an open mic segment on his show. I initially found it hard to believe until I witnessed him perform my joke at an event I attended. This was a clear violation of my intellectual property, and I had noticed it earlier.”

This revelation sheds light on the complexities within the entertainment industry and the need for ethical practices and respect for intellectual creations. Baba Tee's account underscores the importance of safeguarding original content in a creative landscape.
