Eddie Nketiah scored twice in the second half to lead Arsenal to a 3-0 victory against Oxford United and set up an intriguing FA Cup fourth-round tie against Manchester City.

The Gunners will go to the Etihad Stadium on the last weekend of January after a substantially better second-half performance at the Kassam Stadium.

Oxford tormented the Premier League leaders with a dreary first half in which Mikel Arteta’s side failed to register a single attempt on target, but Mohamed Elneny sent them on their way 10 minutes into the second half with his first goal of the season.

Nketiah then confirmed Arsenal’s progress into the fourth round as he continued his impressive form in front of goal with two composed finishes that ended Oxford’s stubborn resistance.
