Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has submitted a fresh bail application in response to the terrorism charges filed against him by the Federal Government.

Presented on February 5, 2024, by his new counsel, Alloy Ejimakor, the motion for bail highlights Kanu's health concerns, particularly his reported heart condition.

However, the Federal Government's legal team, led by Adegboyega Awomolo, is contesting the bail request, arguing that the Department of State Services (DSS) has the necessary medical infrastructure to address Kanu's health issues.
