The Attorney General of the Federation, ABUBAKAR MALAAMI says NNAMDI KANU has been re-arrested and brought back to Nigeria after 4 years on the run.
 He will be re-arraigned before the federal High Court for continuation of trial.
The 54-year-old fled the country in 2017 while he was out on bail, and facing charges bordering on treasonable felony for his agitation to secede the south east region from Nigeria.
According to reports, he was intercepted on Sunday, June 27, 2021. The Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami, announced in a statement on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 that international collaborative efforts led to Kanu's arrest.Â
