April 3, 2023 Jurgen Klopp Says He Is Still Liverpool Manager ‘Because Of The Past, Not This Season’

Liverpool Manager Klopp Says He Remains in His Position Due to Past Performance Rather Than Current Season Results

Jurgen Klopp, the Liverpool manager, has stated that his job is secure due to the team's past performance rather than their current standings.

With Brendan Rodgers and Graham Potter both being dismissed, the Premier League has now had 12 managers sacked this season.

Liverpool is at risk of their worst league finish under Klopp, with the team currently in eighth place, but Klopp's job remains secure.

Klopp has led Liverpool to win club football's major honours during his seven and a half years at Anfield, making him the longest-serving manager in the Premier League.

Despite losing their past three games in all competitions, Klopp is confident in his team's position and their owners' understanding of the situation. Klopp added that he is here to deliver, not as a talisman or for murals on house walls.

Although he is aware that he is still in his position due to what has happened in the past few years, Klopp stated that he does not like relying on that fact and is curious about what the future holds.
