January 10, 2024 I Cannot Make Another Album Like LTG – Fireboy DML

Nigerian artist Adedamola Adefolahan, popularly known as Fireboy DML, has asserted that it's unrealistic to anticipate him producing the same type of music that marked the beginning of his career. The "Playboy" singer stated that his music has evolved significantly since his debut album, "Laughter, Tears, and Goosebumps," in 2019.

During a recent interview in Lagos, Fireboy DML explained that creating another project of similar calibre would be challenging, especially considering his financial success and increased exposure since becoming a millionaire. He candidly shared that he had ventured into activities he once vowed never to engage in before attaining millionaire status.

The YBNL artist advised those dissatisfied with his new sound to revisit his debut album if they long for the 'old' version of him. He expressed, "Sometimes you may think you are one person, then N50 million will enter your account, and you will realize you are a different person. There were a lot of things I said I would never do or be until I became a millionaire."

He continued by posing a rhetorical question, highlighting the challenges of expecting a 27-year-old millionaire who has lived and experienced life to create another album like 'LTG' (Laughter, Tears, and Goosebumps). Fireboy DML emphasized the need for people to recognize that artists are human beings who undergo growth, and expressing those different albums may resonate with listeners at different times. He mentioned, "Think about it. How? Even the album ['LTG'], it's not every time you're going to be in the mood to listen to it. Sometimes, it may be 'Apollo' or 'Playboy.' I think people need to understand that artists are human beings too, and they need to grow."
