Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has expressed his condolences to the family of Taiwo Oyekanmi, the Director of Finance at the Governor's office, who tragically lost his life in a daring robbery incident in Abeokuta, the state capital, on Wednesday.

The governor's sentiments were conveyed through a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Lekan Adeniran. Oyekanmi met his untimely demise while transporting a substantial sum of money from two commercial banks to the governor's office in a bullion van.

Visibly shaken by the incident, Governor Abiodun referred to it as a profound loss for his administration, mourning the passing of a dedicated, truthful, and diligent official. He called for prayers for the deceased's immediate family, expressing deep sympathy for their grief.

In the face of this tragedy, Governor Abiodun did not mince words as he condemned the audacious act, declaring, "His assailants have murdered sleep and will be flushed out immediately from wherever they might be hiding."
