The Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, Peter Obi, has paid a visit to Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, in Ibadan, the state capital, over the explosion that rocked Bodija on January 16, 2024.

It would be recalled that the deadly explosion happened two weeks ago in the Adeyi area of Bodija, leaving several people dead and many properties destroyed.

According to Obi, the visit was to sympathise with the governor and the state's people over the explosion.

In his response, Governor Makinde thanked the former Anambra State Governor for the visit.

He added that while Obi and other leaders like the President had commiserated with him over the unfortunate incident, the presidential candidate of his party, the PDP, Atiku Abubakar, has failed to do so.
