The Federal Government Declares October 2nd, 2023 as a Public Holiday for the 63rd Independence Anniversary.

Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, Minister of Interior, announced this on behalf of the government, reaffirming their dedication to addressing challenges. He emphasized that global socio-economic and security issues affect Nigeria, too.

The Minister highlighted that unity is key to realising Nigeria's potential and global significance. He celebrated Nigeria's status as a leading black nation and a beacon of hope.

Tunji-Ojo urged citizens to remember the unity of Nigeria's founding fathers, transcending differences in faith, tribe, and language. The government's Renew Hope Agenda aims for a better Nigeria in tribute to these heroes."
