The Federal Controller of Works in Lagos, Olukorede Kesha, has said repair works on the damaged expansion joints on the Long Bridge along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway will start today.

In a statement signed by her, Kesha stated that the repair works would begin from 7 a.m. today, Monday, March 4, to March 25, 2024.

According to her, commuters leaving and entering Lagos through the Long Bridge, will be restricted to two lanes on both sides of the bridge.

This, she said, will enable the contractors to handle the repair work on the other two lanes of the carriageways.

She consequently urged road users to adhere to lane discipline on both approaches to the Long Bridge and around the narrowed sections on the bridge.
