Victor Boniface has made a stellar debut for Bayer Leverkusen, notching six goals and three assists across all competitions.
He and former Flying Eagles defender Igoh Ogbu have earned spots in the Europa League team of the week following their standout performances in the first round of matches.
Boniface's brilliant display included a goal and an assist against Swedish side BK Hacken, contributing significantly to Bayer Leverkusen's 4-0 victory. Meanwhile, Ogbu's perfect header helped Slavia Prague secure a 2-0 win over Servette.
The Nigerian duo were recognized in the Europa League team of the week, alongside other notable players like Joao Pedro, James Ward-Prowse, Sebastian Coates, and Granit Xhaka.
