Senate President Godswill Akpabio has said President Bola Tinubu’s administration inherited an entangled economy from former Central Bank Governor Godwin Emefiele.

He noted that the situation is so dire that the federal government is unsure what charges to bring against him.

Speaking at Senator Barinada Mpigi’s Thanksgiving service in Koroma, Tai Local Government Area, Rivers State, Akpabio insisted that the current economic woes and hunger were due to past policies.

The senate president, however, assured Nigerians of efforts to improve security and living standards while calling for patience on the part of the citizens.

The FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, also at the event, called for patience just as he boasted about the chances of the current administration coming in 2027.
