On Tuesday, Rekhiat Momoh assumed the position of acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Eko Electricity Distribution Plc (EKEDC), as announced by the company's board of directors in a statement.

The statement indicated that this transition follows the redeployment of the former Managing Director/CEO, Tinuade Sanda, back to WPG Ltd, the core investor who initially assigned her to Eko Disco.

"We wish to inform the general public that Mrs. Rekhiat Momoh has today, March 26th, 2024, assumed the role of Acting CEO of Eko Disco," the statement read.

Highlighting Mrs. Momoh's extensive experience in the power sector spanning over 31 years, the statement noted her journey from the days of the National Electric Power Authority (NEPA) to the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN), and now Eko Disco. It underscored her numerous excellence awards, commendations, and medals earned throughout her career.

"With a background in marketing and an MBA from Lagos State University, Mrs. Momoh is a fellow of esteemed organizations such as the Nigeria Institute of Management and the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria," the statement continued. "Furthermore, she has participated in various leadership and management courses and training programs both locally and internationally."

Expressing confidence in Mrs. Momoh's capability to excel in her new role, the board stated, "We have great confidence in her ability to perform this role effectively and take the company to greater heights."
