Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has assured that no innocent citizen will suffer from the outcome of the March 14 killing of soldiers in the state.

Last Thursday, armed men attacked and killed 16 officers and soldiers’ personnel of the Nigerian Army during a peace mission to Okuama Community in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State.

Speaking with state house correspondents after a meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, she said the unfortunate killings have further exacerbated the feud between the two warring communities.

However, the governor said the state government and military authorities have agreed that the perpetrators will not go unpunished.

Governor Oborevwori also talked about the plans of the state government towards curbing insecurity in the state.
