Former Everton manager Sam Allardyce has voiced his concerns over Manchester United's potential sale of midfielder Scott McTominay, calling it a "big disaster" for the club.
McTominay has been the subject of transfer speculation this summer, with several Premier League clubs reportedly interested in signing him. Fulham, Tottenham Hotspur, and Galatasaray are among the teams linked to the Scotland international.
Despite the interest, Allardyce believes that Manchester United should retain the 27-year-old, highlighting his recent development as a goal scorer. Speaking on the "No Tippy Tappy Football" podcast, Allardyce said, "Now that Erik ten Hag is settled, it’s going to be interesting to see whether he is able to get Man United where they need to go. It depends on whether the players are onside with him or not.
"ManUnited are going to massively surprise people if they finish first or second, but you need to be all on board and get unity; it looks like they lost that. Letting Scott McTominay go would be a big disaster for Man United. He has become a goal scorer for Scotland and for United."
