Between 2019 and 2021, "revenues from player registration rights" were the subject of the investigation.

Agnelli and the departing vice president Pavel Nedved were some of those under scrutiny.

According to a statement, the board all resigned "having evaluated the significance and relevance of pending legal and accounting challenges."

The outgoing board "thought it to be in the best social interest to recommend that Juventus choose a new board of directors to help the company achieve its goals"

However, Juventus have fallen off their perch in recent seasons, with Inter and AC Milan winning the last two Serie A titles respectively.

Juventus are currently third in the Serie A table, 10 points behind leaders Napoli, and are currently managed by Massimiliano Allegri.

Rundown of African Teams As They Take Center Stage In Qatar 2022 World Cup

The Qatar 2022 World Cup has given us a fair bit of fanfare. From the outclassing of Argentina to the intersections between football and politics, the whipping Spain put out on Costa Rica and a lively Blue Samurai dismantling of the vaunted German machine Africa would not be left out of the drama.

Switzerland faced Cameroon as the African continent continued the search for an Opening day win. A fiery first half saw the Swiss Team grateful to goalkeeper Yann Sommer for keeping them in the contest.

Choupo-Moting looked the most likely to break the deadlock but he was left ruing his luck because Breel Donald Embolo delivered the goods for Switzerland on his World Cup Debut. The goal would go on to seal all three points and ensure a perfect opening day record for the Rossocrociati in Qatar; as well as show us something we only see in club football- a player refusing to celebrate a goal.

Embolo may play for Switzerland but his goal answered the Swiss conundrum: How to beat a Cameroonian?

Africa would eventually get her first goal at the Qatar 2022 World cup, despite it coming in a 3-2 Ghana loss to Portugal. A plucky Ghanaian side would rave about the quality of officiating especially with Cristiano Ronaldo benefiting from a soft penalty call in the first half but they should have converted more of their 9 shots on target.

Senegal will take a tough road to redemption when they tackle host nation Qatar in their 2 pm game today. The Teranga Lions will have to forget the absence of talisman and captain Sadio Mane and focus on effectively deleting the tournament hosts from the competition. This cracker takes place at the Al Thumama stadium.

The Weekend's Most anticipated game will feature a German side reeling from an unexpected loss to Japan taking on former winner Spain who are not short on confidence after putting 7 goals past Costa Rica in their opening fixture.
