This follows Edochie's recent venture into ministry, marked by the launch of his online church, the True Salvation Ministry, in January 2024. Despite facing criticism initially, Edochie revealed that his father, Pete Edochie, stood behind his decision and even offered support by suggesting Bible verses for his sermons.

In response to concerns from his fans, Edochie assured them of his eventual return to Nollywood after fulfilling his calling as a minister.
