Lawsuit Alleging Jay-Z and Diddy Assaulted 13-Year-Old Girl Dismissed

A civil lawsuit accusing rappers Jay-Z and Diddy of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl at a New York party in 2000 has been voluntarily dismissed by the accuser.

According to court documents filed in federal court in New York on Friday, the case was dismissed “with prejudice,” meaning it cannot be refiled.

Reacting to the dismissal, Jay-Z described it as a victory against false accusations.

“Today is a victory. The frivolous, fictitious, and appalling allegations have been dismissed,” he said in a statement shared on Roc Nation’s social media page.

He also expressed the toll the case has taken on his family, stating, “The trauma my wife, my children, and my loved ones have endured can never be dismissed.”

UNIZIK Expels Student Chimamaka Precious for Assaulting Lecturer

The management of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (NAU), Awka, has expelled Goddy-Mbakwe Chimamaka Precious from the institution.

The announcement was made on Friday in an official statement by the Acting Registrar, Victor Modebelu. According to Modebelu, the Acting Vice-Chancellor received the report from the Student Disciplinary Committee regarding Chimamaka’s assault on a lecturer from the Department of Theatre and Film Studies.

The statement revealed that Chimamaka was found guilty of gross misconduct and a violation of the university’s Student Disciplinary Regulations, specifically Regulation 4.

“As a result, the Acting Vice-Chancellor, on behalf of the University Senate, has approved the Committee’s recommendation for your expulsion. You are hereby expelled from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka,” the statement read.

Tems Makes History as First African Woman in MLS Ownership with San Diego FC

Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has made history by joining the ownership group of San Diego FC (SDFC) as a club partner.

SDFC announced that Tems became part of the ownership team through her company, The Leading Vibe, marking a groundbreaking moment as the first African woman to hold an ownership stake in a Major League Soccer (MLS) team.

SDFC chairman Sir Mohamed Mansour expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating:

We are delighted that Tems has joined San Diego FC as a club partner. Tems is a globally significant artist who will help us reach new audiences and spread the word about our unique project, which, of course, has its foundations in sub-Saharan Africa through the unique Right to Dream organisation.”
