Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, has testified in the trial of former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, for alleged fraud.

Mustapha appeared before Justice Muazu of the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja, where Emefiele faces a twenty-count fraud charge.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission accused Emefiele of forging the signature of former President Muhammadu Buhari for the diversion of six-point-two million US dollars, supposedly meant for foreign observers during the last elections.

Mustapha, who appeared as the Second Prosecution Witness, said he had no knowledge about such a transaction. He added that the document in contention did not emanate from the office of then-President Muhammadu Buhari.
