President MUHAMMADU BUHARI has congratulated Ondo state Governor, ROTIMI AKEREDOLU on his victory at the Supreme Court.

The President also charged the opposition in Ondo to lay aside its urge for fight with the ruling party and work with Governor AKEREDOLU in the interest of the development of the State.

 In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, FEMI ADESINA, the President affirmed that the popularity of APC would always depend on the performance and acceptance of its elected officers.

On his part, Governor AKEREDOLU described the Supreme Court judgment that upheld his reelection as victory for democracy.

AKEREDOLU's victory was affirmed after four of the seven justices of the Supreme Court that heard the case upheld his candidacy in the October 10, 2020 election in the state.
