December 21, 2022 Boxing: Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk Have Agreed To Fight Each Other

Promoter Bob Arum confirmed that Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk have agreed to fight one other without taking a fight in the interim; Fury vs Usyk would be an undisputed heavyweight title battle, and the UK is still in the race to host it.

Between them, they held all four major heavyweight world title belts, and their highly awaited bout would determine the undisputed heavyweight world championship.

Fury and Usyk have agreed to have the undisputed fight in early 2023, with only the specific date and place to be determined.

“As a result, they want to fight. Both of them want to fight, so there will be very little [messing] about. So we’ll be able to do it. I’m quite sure of myself. As previously stated, the combatants have agreed to fight each other next, with no intermediate bouts “, according to Arum.

Despite huge proposals to move the battle to the Middle East, the UK remains in the race to host it.
