Al-Hilal Bid £120.3m For Napoli’s Osimhen

Al Hilal have made an offer worth €140m (£120.3m) to Napoli for striker Victor Osimhen, with wages on offer in the region of £1m per week.

The Saudi Pro League club have already had a bid of €300m (£259m) for Paris St-Germain's Kylian Mbappe accepted this summer - although the player declined to meet with them - and also tried to sign Lionel Messi before he moved to Inter Miami.

It is thought Napoli would want more than €150m (£128.8m) even to consider selling a player who finished top of the Serie A goalscoring chart last season as they won the league title.

Osimhen, aged 24, was a transfer target for Manchester United this summer, with talks over a new contract with Napoli stalling.

Sky Italy are reporting a meeting between Napoli and Osimhen's agent failed to find a resolution on an extension to his deal, which runs until the summer of 2025.

Last month, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis was asked about the progress of a new contract for Osimhen.

He said: "We have a basic agreement on a two-year extension, but [we are] willing to consider an offer we could not refuse."

Ruben Neves from Wolves, Kalidou Koulibaly from Chelsea and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio have all signed for Al Hilal this summer.

Fabinho Makes Move To Al-Iitihad From Liverpool

Brazil midfielder Fabinho has completed a move to Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad from Liverpool on a three-year deal.

The 29-year-old did not travel with the Reds to a recent training camp in Germany after the Saudi side made a £40m bid for him.

Fabinho was also left out of the club's current trip to Singapore as the move was finalised.

Capped 29 times by his country, he joined Liverpool in July 2018 from Monaco for a fee in the region of £39m.

Fabinho said he was leaving his "home" after representing Liverpool "with the greatest honour and happiness possible" for five years.

He added: "I say this with a heart full of joy: I love this club. Thank you, Reds, for everything we've experienced together."

Fabinho is Al-Ittihad's latest high-profile signing this summer as part of a widespread influx of players into the Saudi Pro League.

Ballon d'Or winner and former Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema, former Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante and ex-Celtic forward Jota have all joined the club managed by ex-Wolves and Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo.

Al-Ittihad said Fabinho's signing is part of their effort to "reinforce the team with outstanding players, who will support their journey in the upcoming phase, which includes multiple domestic and international competitions".

Fabinho made 219 appearances for Liverpool, scoring 11 goals.

During his time with the Reds, he helped the club win the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup and the Fifa Club World Cup.

Velez Sarsfield Players Allege Threats of Gun Violence from Fans Following Defeat

Players from Argentine side Velez Sarsfield have come forward with alarming claims of being ambushed and threatened with gun violence by the club's ultra fans.

The distressing incident occurred after the team's 1-0 defeat by Huracan, following their return to the training camp.

The final match on Sunday marked the last game for Uruguay defender Diego Godin before retirement, but it was marred by the troubling encounter with the 'Barra Brava' fans.

In a statement, the club expressed deep regret and strong condemnation for the intimidating situation experienced by some of its first-team players. Gianluca Prestianni, Leonardo Jara, Santiago Castro, and Francisco Ortega were reported to be the victims involved in the incident.

"We came out and it was all dark when the cars of the 'Barra Brava' came across us. There were probably five or six of them. "They hit me twice in the face while grabbing me by the jacket. I was too scared and my team-mates didn't want to go home in case they were followed. "They even told one of them, 'Get out of the car or I'll shoot you twice in the legs'."

Gianluca Prestianni shared his terrifying experience with ESPN, recounting how they were confronted by a group of 'Barra Brava' fans in the darkness as they tried to leave the stadium.

He stated that he was physically assaulted and threatened, leaving him and his teammates frightened to return home in fear of being followed.

Leonardo Jara further detailed the harrowing situation, explaining how the fans blocked his car and demanded that he step out, threatening to shoot him in the legs.

Velez Sarsfield has faced a challenging season, securing only five wins out of 27 games and finishing 25th out of 28 in the Argentina Primera Division after the defeat by Huracan.

Chelsea Agree Deal To Sign Monaco Defender Disasi

Chelsea have reached an agreement to sign defender Axel Disasi from AS Monaco for 45m euros (£38.57m).

France international Disasi, 25, will give Chelsea another right-sided centre-back option following the injury to Wesley Fofana.

Fofana has been ruled out for several months after undergoing anterior cruciate ligament surgery.

Benoit Badiashile is also currently injured and will not be fit until after the Premier League season starts.

Chelsea have Thiago Silva, Trevoh Chalobah and Levi Colwill, who has interest from Brighton, as their options in the centre of defence as things stand.

Disasi has made 118 appearances for Monaco since joining the Ligue 1 club from Stade de Reims in August 2020.

He has earned four caps for France, making his full international debut in the World Cup defeat by Tunisia last November.

The Frenchman will become Chelsea's third summer signing, following forwards Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku to Stamford Bridge.

The Blues are also close to securing the £23.2m signing of Rennes midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu, though he could be immediately sent on loan to Ligue 1 side Strasbourg, after Chelsea's ownership group purchased a majority stake in the club earlier this summer.
