The arrest of a woman for causing harm to a teenager who was working in her home has been verified by the Edo State Police command.
Moses Yamu, the spokesperson for the Edo State Police Command, stated in a statement that the woman had injured the youngster physically by using metal objects in the fire.
At around 1945 hours on November 1, 2025, the Command was notified that 31-year-old Abigail Oluwarotimi “f” had burned a metal object and used it to burn her 15-year-old housekeeper Jude Joseph “m.” Consequently, the victim’s genitalia and lap were injured.
According to the command, the suspect confessed to the crime and was taken into custody right away.
She attributed her behavior to the boy’s alleged abuse of her kids. The victim is being treated at the moment.
According to the statement, CP Umoru Ozigi, the Commissioner of Police for Edo State Command, expressed worry over the development and directed that the case be transferred right away to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for a comprehensive and private investigation.
The command urged the public against taking laws into their hands while underscoring the need to allow the law to take its course.
