January 14, 2019 VICE PRESIDENT YEMI OSINBANJO VISITS ZUNGERU, NIGER STATE

Vice President YEMI OSINBAJO has assured that the federal government will do everything possible to reduce the sufferings of Nigerians displaced by flood due to days of massive rainfalls.

OSINBAJO made this comments yesterday when he visited Zungeru, Niger state to commiserate with victims of the flood that recently ravaged the state.

He later inspected areas affected by flooding in the state.

The Vice President who was accompanied by the Niger State Governor, ABUBAKAR SANI BELLO also interacted with displaced victims at Zungeru primary school, Niger.

The Director General of NEMA, MUSTAPHA MAIHAJIA was summoned to brief the Federal Executive Council on the issue of flooding ravaging some states of the federation

Niger state was one of the four states in the country where NEMA has declared a national disaster as heavy seasonal rains have caused the Niger and Benue rivers to burst their banks.
