Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, and Chairman of the Progressives Governors Forum (PGF), commended the All-Progressives Congress (APC) for its performance despite economic challenges. Speaking in Abuja on Monday at the APC National Secretariat, Uzodimma emphasized that the APC has made significant progress for Nigerians.
During his visit to the party’s leadership, he expressed the PGF's loyalty and condolences to the National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, who recently lost his mother-in-law.
Uzodimma highlighted that the APC's achievements shouldn't be overlooked, acknowledging the global nature of current economic difficulties. He affirmed that President Bola Tinubu's administration is actively implementing policies to address these challenges and predicted that Nigerians would soon celebrate the government's effective management.
He also stressed the importance of solidarity with the party's leadership and the commitment of the governors to support and follow the party’s direction.
Regarding the upcoming Edo governorship election on September 21, Uzodimma expressed confidence in the APC's victory, citing its majority presence in 20 out of 36 states and control over the presidency and Federal Executive Council.
Ganduje, in response, appreciated the governors' visit, recognizing their contributions to the party's success and assured them of the leadership’s support in safeguarding their interests.
