In a Chicago court ruling, Chicago State University will provide all records of Nigeria's President Bola Tinubu's time as a student to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar within two days.
Atiku sought these documents to establish Tinubu's eligibility for a past presidential election. The court determined that Atiku's request for the records was justified.
Magistrate Judge Jeffrey Gilbert of the Northern District of Illinois Eastern Division also mandated a deposition of designated university officials after the records were released, even during the weekend if necessary.
The court concluded that Atiku's application for discovery is granted.
