Following a truck collision, a part of the pedestrian bridge in Lagos’ Alapere Estate, Ketu district, collapsed.
This occurred when the truck collided with the bridge at midnight on Thursday.
According to reports, two people were injured in the crash.
According to the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), the vehicle, which was loaded with metal and exceeded the height restriction, became wedged under the bridge, causing it to collapse.
The collision debris produced traffic jam along the Ketu-Alapere corridor towards Berger.
Jubril Gawat, the Lagos State Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media, posted a video of emergency responders quickly clearing debris to restore road flow.
