Despite Danielle Williams, a two-time world champion, leading most of the race, Amusan surged ahead, claiming victory, with Williams finishing second at 12.46.

Amusan expressed her satisfaction with her performance, highlighting her improved health this season compared to previous years. She emphasized her determination to avoid disqualification and praised her execution in the race, despite acknowledging areas for improvement.
