August 15, 2023 Tinubu’s Ministers Won’t Perform Miracles: Yam Expected To Reach N4000, Garri At N500, Says Primate Ayodele

Primate Elijah Ayodele, the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church leader, has issued a cautionary message about the anticipated rise in the cost of food items over the next three months.

He has predicted that the price of yam is projected to reach N4000, while a cup of garri could increase to N500.

On Tuesday, these predictions were conveyed through a statement issued by his spokesperson, Oluwatosin Osho.

Primate Ayodele's statement emphasised President Bola Tinubu's need to adopt a serious approach, as his appointed ministers may not possess magical solutions to these economic challenges.

The prophet further disclosed that the prices of essential commodities, particularly food items, are likely to experience further escalation unless the prevailing hardships are adequately addressed.

In his words, "If proper measures aren't taken, it's possible that in the coming three months, the cost of a large yam could climb to N4,000, a cup of garri might cost N500, and a bottle of groundnut oil could even reach N3,000. These potential scenarios underline the importance of tackling the economic situation proactively."

Primate Ayodele highlighted the need for a substantive focus and a team of technocrats and economic experts to resolve the ongoing economic concerns.

He emphasised that more than the ministers' efforts alone may be needed and urged the consideration of specialists to navigate these challenges effectively.
