President Bola Tinubu has met with members of the Supreme Council for Sharia in Nigeria (SCSN) at the Council Chamber, Presidential Villa, Abuja. 

The meeting comes 48 hours after the President of SCSN, Sheikh Abdurrasheed Hadiyyatullah, expressed regrets for supporting the Tinubu-Shettima same-faith ticket last year, noting that the president has not been fair to Muslims and Nigerians in general.

Recall that on Tuesday, Sheikh Hadiyyatullah, in an interview with journalists in Abuja, provoked a fresh controversy on the Muslim-Muslim ticket of the All-Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2023 election, which he said has fallen short of expectations.

Speaking after a meeting with President Tinubu in Abuja yesterday, the council's vice president, Bashir Umah urged the president to do all within his power to ameliorate the sufferings faced by Nigerians.
