Today, February 15th, President Bola Tinubu is set to depart from Abuja to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to participate in the 37th Ordinary Session of the African Union (AU) Heads of State and Government.
The summit's theme, "Educate an African fit for the 21st Century: Building resilient education systems for increased access to inclusive, lifelong, quality, and relevant learning in Africa," underscores the critical focus on enhancing education across the continent.
According to a statement from Presidential Spokesperson Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu will engage in high-level discussions during the summit, covering topics such as institutional reforms of the African Union, peace and security, climate change, and the continental body's priorities in the G20.
Additionally, President Tinubu will participate in an extraordinary summit of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of ECOWAS in his capacity as the Chairman of the regional body.
Accompanied by ministers and other government officials, President Tinubu is expected to return to Abuja following the conclusion of the Summit.
